Luis Casimiro has extended his stay at Río Breogán, committing to a third consecutive season as head coach. The 65-year-old tactician, who recently surpassed 800 games managed in the ACB league—ranking third all-time—will lead the Galician side through the 2026/27 campaign.

Casimiro joined Breogán as a firefighter in the 10th round of the 2024/25 season, steering the team away from relegation danger. This season, he comfortably secured their top-flight status once again, allowing the club to plan the upcoming project with stability and confidence. His primary goals remain consolidating the team’s ACB position, pushing for playoffs, and aiming for a Copa del Rey berth.

The club also made a signing on Monday, May 11, confirming Iván Cruz until the end of the season. The 34-year-old power forward, standing at 2.08 meters, begins his third stint with Breogán—the team where he made his professional debut in 2016. After spells with Sevilla, Bilbao, Tenerife, Zaragoza, Palencia, and Fuenlabrada, Cruz arrives from Melilla, where he averaged 12.1 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game this season. He has signed for three weeks to finish the campaign with Breogán.
