The New Orleans Saints have added undrafted wide receiver Brock Rechsteiner to their roster after he impressed during a tryout at the team’s rookie minicamp. Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football first reported the signing. Rechsteiner becomes the latest addition to the Saints’ receiving corps, joining first-round pick Jordyn Tyson, fourth-round selection Bryce Lance, and sixth-rounder Barion Brown.
Brock Rechsteiner is the son of Scott Steiner, a legendary figure from WWE and WCW who dominated the 1980s and 1990s. Scott and his brother Rick, known as the Steiner Brothers tag team, were both inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2022. Rechsteiner spent the last three seasons playing college football at Jacksonville State in Conference USA. Over that span, he recorded 53 receptions for 629 yards and 7 touchdowns, with his best season coming in 2025 when he hauled in 36 catches for 383 yards and a team-high five scores. Beyond his receiving ability, he brings value as a physical run blocker and a contributor on special teams coverage.
Listed at 6-foot-1 and 222 pounds, Rechsteiner clocked an impressive 4.48-second 40-yard dash. After going undrafted, he initially tried out with the Tennessee Titans before earning a second chance with the Saints this past weekend. Rechsteiner had previously signed with the WWE’s NIL (Next In Line) program. Notably, Bron Breaker (Bronson Rechsteiner), the son of Rick Steiner, made his WWE debut in 2020. For now, Brock Rechsteiner will put his wrestling aspirations on hold while competing for a spot on the New Orleans Saints roster during training camp later this summer.
