Valencia Basket has a chance to etch its name in EuroLeague playoff history after forcing a decisive Game 5 in the series against Panathinaikos.
If the Spanish side completes the comeback, it would become only the second team ever to win a playoff series after losing the first two games. The only club to previously achieve that feat was Real Madrid Baloncesto in 2023.
Meanwhile, Panathinaikos is pursuing a rare achievement of its own. A win on the road in Game 5 would make the Greek squad only the third team to take a deciding fifth game away from home, following Olympiacos B.C. and Fenerbahce Beko in 2024.
